These inspiring women are not only avid hikers but also leaders and motivators dedicated to encouraging other women to explore nature. Meet Our Ambassadors

Heather G: San Diego

Since September of 2021, Heather has been inspiring women all across San Diego!

Why I love being an ambassador. 

Firstly, I joined hikerbabes as a way to help my mental health. I was so inspired immediately, and the previous ambassador became a friend and adventure buddy. 1. I love being able to inspire and help other women step outside of their comfort zone to be able to explore what nature can do for you. 2. I like how being an ambassador still pushes me to always be accountable and do my best in all areas of my life. 3. I like that is shows my kids and lead by example how to lead a healthy and happy life. 4. I feel like I can always give back to what this community has given me. 4. I have made some of the best friends of my life through this community and connection.

Karyn C: Ventura CA

karyn is one of our newest and brightess Ambassadors! Her energy in infectious.

Why I like being an Ambassador:  

Bringing great women together, fostering connection while hiking and enjoying the great outdoors.   

Learning - Babes have share they learn new skills and tips since hiking with our group. It’s been tips on how to descend down looser inclines, to carrying a cool towel, to inspiring one to carry or re-vamp their first aid kit after they see yours in use, to the power of permethrin in your clothes to keep mosquitos at bay.  

Sharing - Going to different places and different times of the year, sharing the beauty that exists in their own county, neighboring counties, and in CA. I hear, “I haven’t been here” often.

Keli Lynn: Maryland

Keli motivates her member to crush all their outdoor goals!

When I first heard they needed an ambassador for the Maryland chapter, I jumped at the chance. I wanted to be an active part of a strong group of women who love getting out on the trails and exploring. Being in nature has always been so soothing to me, and having a community of like-minded women was just the icing on the cake.

For me, being an ambassador is about honoring my commitment to stay active, discovering new trails, and encouraging others to step outside for both their mental and physical health. It’s now been over 3 years, and I still absolutely love it. I’ve explored so many beautiful places, made friendships that mean the world to me, and had the chance to support others along the way.

This role has been such a gift—a way to give back, empower others, and keep myself grounded in what I love most: movement, nature, and connection.
